I started this website because i love making beats. For the past five years it’s been my life. I get to wake up everyday, get my cup of coffee and make beats all day!! At times it does get a bit frustrating but i wouldn’t trade this way of life for the world. I’m not making millions from selling beats but i make enough to live comfortably and i enjoy what i do so i’m not too fussed about the money.
It might seem like i’m painting beat making as an easy life, but this wasn’t always the case. In the not so distant past i was working in a factory, don’t get me wrong the money was good but i wasn’t the life i had envisioned for myself. I wanted to make music. Music is my passion and i like all sorts of music, i’m not segregated to one genre. So i made the decision to leave an income behind and pursue my passion.
I knew that i didn’t want to go back to work in a factory so if i didn’t achieve my goal, i would have to have a safety net to fall back on. I decided to go to university i wanted to study music but i was afraid that it would ruin my passion in music. Why, you might ask.? The simple reason of having to justify everything you write with a reference. The technical approach to a degree bores me. I loved the practical side of it but the technical reports were painful to say the least.
Throughout my time at university i learned a lot, both in and out of university. I had only approximately ten- fifth-teen hours of lectures a week, so i had a lot of free time. During this time i set up my beat website and started making beats, spending a lot of time researching techniques on how to sell beats. Before long my beats started selling. I was so driven by the success that i was working 10+ hours a day without a care!!!
