What’s the difference between bit rate and sample rate 2

What’s the difference between bit rate and sample rate? Imagine a runner running along a straight line. Left to right.
No imagine you only see every other step that runner takes. Thats a low sample rate. So a high sample rate? Increases that data an clarity. So you see every step.
More data and information of your audio as its recorded. Alright so bit depth? add some hurdles to that run. Now our runner has to jump every few steps. Bit depth is the information we have about the jump. How high how fast. How long is sample rate. so 8bit depth? we might miss the jump and suddenly be in the air. maybe if it was a tiny jump, we would even see it at all. Get it?
